How does yoga help?

Yoga helps release stored tension, and stored trauma.  What the mind can't work out the body will think its helping and take over. Yoga can help with sleep, stress, anxiety, posture, focus, emotional regulation, balance, muscle and joints.  There are so many benefits to doing yoga and anyone can do it anywhere at any stage of heir life.

Does being mindful mean being happy all the time?

Being mindful does not mean taking a Pollyanna approach to life.  No thonoring all of our emotions and how they serve us can lead us into toxic happiness.  While we can t conrtli our emoitons.. we can learn to be in control of how we respond to them.  It's called emotional fitness.

What is the cost?

Prices vary depending on needs.  Group sessions start at 15 dollars.  The best investment you will ever make is the investment in yourself.  The investment in your Childs health....mind/body/spirit will give you the best return and the value is priceless.

Can men do yoga?

There is some evidence tracing back that the origins of yoga were primarily done by men.  Most professional athletes practice yoga.  Some form of yoga is good for eveyone.  If we take away the stigma of I only being for girls we open many doors to heal together which is what is needed with now.

Why would I take my kid out of school for a mindfulness/yoga session?

Children need more help than ever right now.  It is proven that siting for too long inhibits our brains capability to learn.  Parents, good parents, are struggling to help their children deal with the big tasks that have been place on them.  Kids want to feel good. How can we expect our  children to excel at hockey or dance or academically when inside they are shrinking to fit into a mould someone else created for them?? Imagine having the tools you have as an adult, as a child.  

What if I've never done yoga before?

Yoga does not need to be done in a special room with special lighting with special clothing on.  You will learn how to manage your own body and adjust to what works for you under the guidance of a trained teacher.  Everyone can do some form of yoga and the beauty is showing up for yourself.  Day one or one day?

What if my child can't sit still?

We don't expect kids to spend a long time in one pose.  We mix games, stories, and fun to create and environment kids want to come back to.  We allow them to use their voice, state their needs and take the lead, learn what is right for them.  Freedom of reasonable choice.  There are therapy animals on site.

Can I do yoga with my kids?

Parenthood...what a time!!  Can't get away alone?  Come together.  Children feed off of our energy.  One of the best things you can do is let your children see you taking care of yourself.  It takes a village and if you don't have one, let's create one together.  Watch for family events.  Parent baby yoga classes are a great way to take time for yourself without worrying about childcare.
